Living Worlds: September!

September is here, and the Living Worlds have gone to the seaside! I can feel the salt air as the ocean mists envelop the shore. Heads up: as the seasons change, the story in the logbook is soon to make a dramatic turn.

It’s been great fun unearthing all of the original art for these scenes. Much of it made it into the original Seize the Day, but some of it never got its chance the first time around (like some of the fish from August, I believe). It’s great to finally be giving them all a chance to shine. It’s all been the original art, though; we have created no new art for the new app, until now. In my old notes for the September scene there is mention of a ship sailing across the ocean, but (as far as I can tell) we never made any art for it. Mark was kind enough to make two tiny ships (using existing colors from the palette) so we could make that idea a reality.

Meanwhile, there is still the issue of the “Android blackout”, where the recent Chrome/WebView 76 has broken the live wallpaper feature. I’m pleased to report that the upcoming Chrome/WebView 77 has the issue fixed. It should be arriving sometime after September 10, but you can already switch to the Chrome Beta if you want (see “Update, September 1” at the bottom of this post for details).
